Strive Hard — Hare Krishna Temple & Swami Prema Das (spiritual prep for SF founder anxiety)

Play now: airomatic.ai/strive-hard

You raised (or walked). Classmates “closed.” Your Series A is still weather. The glass box is real; the product is still vapor. That knot in your chest is not a bug — it’s the San Francisco founder operating system.

Strive Hard just shipped a side quest for it: the Hare Krishna Temple and Swami Prema Das. Not another bunker download. Not another Spaces boss fight. A free feast, shoes off, and a monologue about fruitive labor, carrots on sticks, and staying steady whether you “win” or “lose.”

Yes — Strive Hard now prepares founders spiritually to deal with the anxiety of startup life in San Francisco. The comedy stays sharp. The advice is accidentally useful.

Why this chapter exists

SF founder anxiety is a specific genre: everyone else announced a round, your wire is fog, LPs want chemistry meetings, and the algorithm keeps showing you champagne emojis that aren’t yours. Detachment is hard when your identity is the deck.

Prema doesn’t sell you a growth framework. He sells the opposite: stay detached from the results of fruitive labor. The labor is yours. The fruit was never the point — though the Bay will swear otherwise. Catch the carrot and… oh boy. You have a carrot. One man’s success is another’s degradation. Especially these carrots.

Funny. True enough to sting. Uplifting if you let it.

How you get there (not day-one mattress only)

Temple opens after the yacht seed decision (raise or decline) — or earlier if you walk Lytton Plaza off Stanford. After seed, almost every map hub has a local path:

Where you areWhat you can do
Tenderloin studioTalk to the yogis singing outside the apartment
Yacht / pierFollow chanting right after the wire (or the walk-away)
SoMa Soft HQStare at the dead plant → temple
MercuryTreasury parked; soul portfolio is free
Vibe Café / Corgi / SaunaBooks by e-scooters · brand detox · heat that isn’t spiritual
Dylan / Palantir / Round / Cognition / ShenzhenOne-liners → same courtyard

Stanford still has Lytton Plaza anytime: devotee, flyer, “come when the fruit fails.”

What happens at the temple

Arrive → feast or darshan → Swami Prema Das. Full carrot monologue. Subtle karmi-past SF-scene innuendo (term sheet for love, chemistry meetings, sauna heat that isn’t spiritual — recovering, not recruiting). Choices: sit with it, argue that LPs need the carrot, ask for a fundraising mantra, or seva (dishes; more honest than most decks).

He ends up in your texts. Odd-day affirmations. Return visits are shorter check-ins: still mid-carrot?
